Attorneys Rie Kotokawa and Satoru Isohata co-founded K&I Lawyers in 2006 with the same goal of providing excellent services to our clients. K&I Lawyers focuses its practice on US immigration law. We handle a wide variety of employment-based applications, family-based applications, applications related to permanent residents, and naturalization applications.
Our attorneys are fluent in Japanese and English and can explain laws and application processes in the language of your preference. You do not have to worry about important nuances being lost in translation. Most importantly, because we are a small, well-structured firm, we can eliminate unnecessary barriers between our attorneys and clients and establish a close and intimate relationship directly with our clients. That means you will always have direct access to our attorneys without a paralegal standing in between.
All matters entrusted to us will be handled personally by Attorney Rie Kotokawa or Attorney Satoru Isohata or together as a team. K&I Lawyers is a team of experienced attorneys with the ability to handle complex issues and matters relating to immigration law. Founder & Partner
Attorney Rie Kotokawa has been practicing immigration law for 25 years. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Seattle University and her Juris Doctor from the Detroit College of Law at Michigan State University. She is licensed to practice law in Washington and New York. She is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, the Washington Bar Association, and the New York State Bar Association. She is fluent in English and Japanese and has limited working proficiency in Korean.
Founder & Partner
Attorney Satoru Isohata has been practicing immigration law for 25 years. He earned his bachelor's degree from Meiji University in Japan and his Juris Doctor degree from Washburn University. Before co-founding K&I Lawyers, he worked for various law firms and served national and international clients in immigration law, family law, and wills and estate. Mr. Isohata is licensed to practice law in Washington and Kansas. He is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, the Washington State Bar Association, and the Kansas Bar Association. He is fluent in English and Japanese.
